Voyageur Canoe Tours at the Peterborough Lift Lock

Join us on this one-of-a-kind tour as we paddle a 36' Montreal canoe along the Trent-Severn Waterway and through the Peterborough Lift Lock! In partnership with Parks Canada, these tours are a great experience for people of all ages and abilities. No previous paddling experience is necessary, only a willingness to try new things!

Throughout the tour, you can expect to hear stories about voyageur life and learn about the history of the waterway and how the Peterborough Lift Lock was built. As we travel through the Lift Lock you'll gain an incredible view of the canal! We'll teach you basic paddling strokes and we'll work together to move our big canoe through the water. Paddles and lifejackets are provided and we recommend that you bring a hat, water and sunscreen. Ample parking is available at the Lift Lock Visitor Centre.

We also offer custom tours for special events, corporate and community groups and large families! For more information on custom bookings and pricing, please email paddle@canoemuseum.ca or call 705.748.9153 x210.
