Volunteer

Volunteers play an integral role in our success and growth. Without them, The Canadian Canoe Museum would not be what it is today!

From tour guides showing visitors the best the Museum has to offer, to dock attendants helping visitors find a PFD that fits them, to greeting visitors and helping shoppers pick a memento in the store, volunteers help us bring the Museum to life. There is no shortage of gratitude for the services our dedicated volunteers provide!

Become a part of a passionate, enthusiastic community. Here’s what you can expect from volunteering with us:

  • Flexible hours
  • Networking and professional development
  • Volunteer events
  • Special pricing in the Museum store
  • Unlimited free admission
  • Placement hours for university/college students
  • The knowledge that you are providing essential support to a world-class museum and cultural destination

CCM Logo White

The Canadian Canoe Museum respectfully acknowledges that we are situated on the Treaty 20 Michi Saagiig territory and the traditional territory covered by the Williams Treaties First Nations. The Canadian Canoe Museum also recognizes the contributions of Indigenous Peoples including First Nations, Inuit and Métis, in shaping this community and country as a whole.

As an organization that stewards the world’s largest and most significant collection of canoes, kayaks & paddled watercraft, we will honour and share the cultural histories and stories within the collection in all that we do.
