Thank you @gohiromoto for the amazing canoe selfie!
A lot of questions have come out our craft on this #ConnectedbyCanoe journey, and today the group discussed the fact that we really are just at the beginning of understanding. We are aware of the opportunity and obligations that exists to keep exploring and conversing.
Yesterday evening we were hosted by the Kemptville Youth Centre, a wonderful organization that welcomes over 400 youth per year, keeping them safe and engaged. We chatted with the youth and staff, were led in a throat singing demo by Connected by Canoe participant Kristen and enjoyed a great performance by the Paddling Puppeteer, Glen Caradus. Then, we did what any other group would do in an awesome youth centre full of activities – we played! (and ate a fabulous homemade spaghetti dinner)
We thank the KYC for their generous hospitality. If you are interested in knowing more about the KYC or how to support them visit http://www.kyc.team/
Before arriving in Perth, #ConnectedbyCanoe went on a nature walk to learn about canoe building. Thank you Chuck Commanda and Stephen Hunter for sharing your knowledge. #Canada150
Teamwork was important as #ConnectedbyCanoe paddlers worked to bail the canoe, load it into the trailer, and build a fire during lunch. The rain is keeping paddlers off the water for today, but the weather hasn't stopped the conversation. #Canada150
