Ojibway-Cree Bark Canoe

This canoe, built near Lac Seul in Quebec, has stylistic features of both Cree and Ojibway design. Note the continuous gunwale lashings along the sides. In most bark canoes, the gunwales are rectangular, but in this case they have been shaped and rounded.
