Job Title: ORCKA Canoe Tripping Instructor

Job Description: Instruction of ORCKA Canoe Tripping 3 (Trip Leader) course

Department: Education

Reports To: Education Coordinators; Carolyn Hyslop & Jen Burnard

Contract Value: $1000

Course Dates: August 16th to 20th, 2010

Minimum Qualifications:

  • ORCKA member in good standing.

  • ORCKA Canoe Tripping Instructor 2, Moving Water Instructor 2

  • Advanced Wilderness First Aid & CPR

  • Bronze Cross (NLS preferred).

  • Current and clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Checks.

  • Experience in delivering the ORCKA Canoe Tripping program.

  • Strong risk management skills and strong decision making abilities.

  • Ability to work with another person cooperatively as a leadership team.
