CCM Hosts Art Show During Doors Open

The Canadian Canoe Museum is proud to be a participant in the 8th Annual Doors Open celebration of our province’s heritage and culture. As well as offering free admission for the day, the museum is hosting a show and sale featuring the work of local artists including . Ellen Cowie – Painting; Neil Broadfoot - Painting and canoe engraving; Barbara Holtz – Painting; Wendy Cooper  - Weaver; Dwayne James – Painting; David Hickey – Metalwork; Nan Sidler – Painting; Trish Bucholtz – Photography; Max Sexsmith - Soapstone carving; Hal Bowen/Terry McCall - Paddle making; Doug Hooper – Woodturning.

 

The Canadian Canoe Museum is a unique national heritage centre that explores the canoe's enduring significance to the peoples of Canada. The museum’s galleries display more than 100 canoes from across the country and beyond. Located at 910 Monaghan Road in Peterborough, the museum is open Monday to Saturday from 1000 to 500 and Sundays from 1200 to 500.
