The Canadian Canoe Museum - Collections & Exhibits

The collection at the Canadian Canoe Museum is composed of a diverse group of canoes and canoe related artifacts, which represent a wide range of design and construction techniques. The collection features watercraft ranging from whaling dugouts, bark canoes and skin kayaks, to historic wooden boats and racing craft. Items in the collection have unique stories to tell about their history and about the people who created and used them. By collecting, preserving and displaying these artifacts, the Museum provides an important and unique insight into Canada’s cultural heritage.
