Take One of Our Adult Workshops!

Have you always wanted to carve your own paddle? Weave snowshoes? Learn about leather-working? Bookbinding? Wood-burning? Weaving? You should take a workshop!

Spend a day, or two, learning traditional skills, meeting interesting people and working with your hands in a relaxed setting with experienced, supportive, knowledgeable instructors. You’ll leave the workshop feeling positive, proud of your finished product, and inspired from a day of using your hands and learning about the history of what you’re doing. You’ll have a new appreciation for your own creativity and talents – things you might not have known you had!

We have a wide variety of workshops appealing to all tastes, and we are adding new classes every year.  Whether you’re interested in woodworking, weaving, leatherwork, sewing, or simply learning a new skill there is something for everyone to enjoy!  Click the titles below to find out more about each workshop (including dates, availability and how to register).

Don't forget - if you are already a member of The Canadian Canoe Museum you will receive a 10% discount off the workshop cost. If you aren’t already a member you can click here to become one.

Workshop participants receive special rates from Museum partners on accommodation and other activities. Click here for more details.
